I coveted a cupcake

21 10 2010

When Jen and I were walking back from lunch yesterday she had to jump out of the way of a van – obviously lost in a side street near my building. It was only when we saw the van we thought we should have acted differently. For one I would have gently shoved Jen in the way of the van – she would have fallen to the floor (hopefully unhurt). The driver would have got out the van to check on her and I would have quickly hopped in the back and made a start on devouring the contents of the van’s cargo (being sure to save a few red velvets and black bottoms for Jenni). The van belonged to the Hummingbird Bakery. Home of the most delicious of cup cakes.  Alas our plan was thought up too late and we were left clutching a bag of Minstrels and Malteasers (not to be scoffed at) to be eaten after lunch. 20-10-2010 must have been lucky indeed because about 20 mins later I had the guy from reception rang to tell me there was a delivery for me of an edible kind. I bolted out to reception and there outside was the shiny silver Hummingbird mobile. I practically ripped the box out of the delivery mans hand…a box of cupcakes with my name on them. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Many many thanks to Gemma :)
