Revenge of the Pigeons

21 06 2010

En route to the tube on Friday – I dashed down a well-known short cut. A dark alley frequented by rushing commuters and pigeons. As I ran past I saw a massive flock of pigeons on the ground in a feeding frenzy. Having been in many near misses with kamikaze pigeons flying perilously low directly for me, I could not help but wonder if under the writhing, cooing mass of grimy feathers was a poor commuter who failed to dodge one of London’s flying finest and was now swiftly becoming birdseed.
